Description
Demographic change, combined with stress and burnout resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, have created a “perfect storm” for health human resource management. Experienced healthcare professionals are retiring early, and new graduates are not staying long in the profession. A focus on retention is widely recognized as necessary to stop the flow of staff away from the industry. However – the needs of new grads, mid-career professionals, and people nearing retirement are quite different! This webinar will bring together speakers who have faced the retention issue head-on, to share their challenges, innovations, and successes in supporting retention in their organizations.
Learning objectives
- Discuss the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on retention of experienced staff, and on the experience of new grads entering healthcare for the first time, within each organization’s local context.
- Approaches taken to address the challenge of retention for experienced professionals and for new graduates.
- Key take-aways & lessons learned for the audience to replicate at their organization
